XO Communications CIO Receives Premier 100 IT Honor

XO Communications, a leading nationwide provider of advanced communications services and solutions for businesses, enterprises, governments, carriers and service providers has announced  that Robert Geller, chief information officer (CIO), was named a 2010 Premier 100 IT Leader by Computerworld.

This year's Premier 100 spotlights 100 leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies that have demonstrated exceptional technology leadership, deployed innovative solutions to address business challenges and implemented strategic IT initiatives.

Geller oversees all of XO Communications' IT operations and initiatives, including managing more than 400 IT professionals. His recent achievements include leading XO's IT team through a successful transformation from a traditional voice provider to one focused on data and IP services.

Aided by Geller's continued leadership and vision, XO Communications has since launched dozens of IP products, averaging approximately six to nine months to create, test and deploy each new product, a pace that far exceeds the industry standard of 12 months.
