Fibertech Expands Network to Westchester County Data Center

The continued growth of data transmission, storage and processing is causing demand to outpace the current supply by as much as three times, according to industry analysts. In an effort to meet this demand, Fibertech Networks and Xand Corporation have teamed up to offer 100%, fully resilient fiber optic connectivity to Xand's 30,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art Westchester County Data Center.
The newly installed Fibertech service at Xand will provide additional capacity, redundancy and resiliency to customers that Xand serves throughout the Connecticut and Westchester County, NY metropolitan area.

Fibertech, a leading regional provider of fiber optic bandwidth services, owns and operates a nearly statewide fiber optic network in Connecticut. The network measures more than 2,100 miles reaching into Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, New London, Norwalk and Stamford, among others cities. It also connects north from Hartford to Springfield, MA, and Southwest from Stamford into White Plains, NY. In addition, the company recently completed a new metro network in Westchester County, NY, totaling more than 60 miles.
The company can leverage this infrastructure to provide a range of connectivity to area businesses, ranging in speeds from point-to-point and metro multi-point Ethernet service from 10 Mbps to 1 Gbps; OC3 to OC192, in addition to the unlimited bandwidth of dark fiber optics.
